The Rotary Club of Enfield will honor Rotarian Joe Muller, North Central Connecticut Chamber of Commerce President Linda Cote, Philanthropist Kari Monteforte, and donor honoree Attorney Richard Tatoian on Wednesday, October 23 with the Paul Harris Award. The Paul Harris Fellows Recognition is given to individuals who meet the high professional and personal standards set forth by Paul Harris himself (founder in 1905 of Rotary International).  A  $1,000 donation is made in the name of each recipient to the Rotary International Foundation.

Rotary established the recognition in 1957 to encourage and show appreciation for substantial contributions to what was formally the Foundation’s only program, Rotary Foundation Fellowships for Advanced Study, the precursor to Ambassadorial Scholarships.

Mother Teresa, entertainer Pearl Bailey, U.S. President Jimmy Carter, Russian President Boris Yeltsin, U.S. astronaut James Lovell, UN Secretary-General Javier Perez de Cuellar, and polio vaccine developer Jonas Salk are all Paul Harris recipients.

The event will be held at Grassmere Country Club on Wednesday, October 23. A cocktail hour will be held at 6 p.m., with dinner and the awards ceremony to follow.

The public is invited to attend. Tickets are $40. RSVP by October 10. Please contact Aimee Nieroda (aimeenieroda@gmail.com) for tickets and information or visit https://paulharrisfellow.rsvpify.com.
